About University of Surrey International Study Centre

The University of Surrey International Study Centre (ISC) is a pathway centre run by Study Group in partnership with the University of Surrey, located on the university's campus in Guildford. It prepares international students for degree study at Surrey through three main programmes: an International Foundation Year, an International Year One and a Pre-Masters Programme. The Foundation Year runs over two semesters in four routes: Business, Finance and Management; Engineering, Science and Computing; Health and Life Sciences; and Law, Social Sciences and Humanities. The International Year One leads into the second year of the BSc International Hospitality and Tourism Management, and the Pre-Masters (one or two semesters) prepares graduates for Surrey Masters degrees in management, finance, hospitality and tourism. In 2025, 93% of students completing the Foundation Year were eligible to progress to a University of Surrey degree. Students use university facilities such as the Library and Learning Centre, the Students' Union and Surrey Sports Park, and can live in university residences. Entry points are spread through the year, including September, November (with a three-week Enhanced Induction) and February. Guildford is about 35 minutes from central London by train.
