University of Portsmouth, London

University of Portsmouth London is the London branch campus of the University of Portsmouth, a public post-92 university whose main campus is on the south coast. The campus was announced in March 2022, officially launched on 15 September 2023 at Waltham Forest town hall, and taught its first postgraduate students from February 2024, with undergraduates following in September 2024. It is based at Juniper House, 221 Hoe Street, Walthamstow, in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, beside Walthamstow Central station on the Victoria line and London Overground. Facilities and services are delivered with the property and services partner Northchild Group, and teaching also uses nearby Central House. The campus focuses on career-oriented subjects: 12 undergraduate courses in accounting, business, marketing and computer science (including AI and cyber security routes, foundation years and top-ups), and 13 postgraduate courses including the MBA, MSc Computer Science, Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Engineering Management and Project Management. Courses start in January, May and September, and students receive University of Portsmouth degrees. The university estimates the campus will add up to GBP 372 million to the borough economy over 20 years. London students are represented by the University of Portsmouth Students' Union (UPSU).

The London campus is not ranked separately; the University of Portsmouth is ranked joint #635 in the QS World University Rankings 2026, joint #662 in QS 2027, 401-450 in THE 2027 and 36th in the Guardian University Guide 2027.

The campus occupies floors of Juniper House at 221 Hoe Street, Walthamstow, London E17 9PH, right outside Walthamstow Central station, with further space in nearby Central House. Named spaces include the Guildhall Room computer lab, the Solent Room high-performance computing suite, the Spinnaker and Southsea teaching rooms and the Winter Garden informal study area.

Courses start in January, May and September, and the campus lists January 2027, May 2027, September 2027, January 2028 and May 2028 start dates. Fees quoted for January and May 2027 starts are confirmed; fees for September 2027 onwards were still to be confirmed. January and May 2027 applicants apply directly online, while September 2027 undergraduates can also apply through UCAS.
