About University of Plymouth International College
The University of Plymouth International College (UPIC) is a pathway college run by Navitas in partnership with the University of Plymouth. It is based at 19 Portland Villas, Drake Circus, on the university's city-centre campus in Plymouth, Devon. UPIC prepares international students who do not yet meet direct-entry requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at Plymouth. It offers Foundation programmes in 14 subject areas, a Foundation Plus option, First Year programmes in 8 subjects that count as the first year of a Plymouth bachelor's degree, and Pre-Masters programmes in about 10 subject areas, plus pre-sessional English. Foundation subjects range from business, law and computer science to engineering and robotics, marine, coast and ocean sciences, and health and human sciences. Classes are small and taught by college staff, while students use university facilities and can join the University of Plymouth Students' Union. UPIC reports that more than 85% of its students progress and graduate with their chosen degree. From September 2026 Navitas cut UPIC fees, with Foundation from GBP 14,000 and Pre-Masters at GBP 7,950. Students who progress with 70% in every module and over 85% attendance receive a GBP 4,000 Progression Award off their Plymouth fees.
