About Tianjin University
Tianjin University (TJU) was founded in 1895 as Peiyang University and is the first modern university in China. It is a public research university under the Ministry of Education and part of Project 985, Project 211 and the Double First-Class initiative. TJU is a leader in chemical engineering, instrument science, ocean engineering, civil engineering and architecture. It has two campuses in Tianjin: Weijin Road and Peiyangyuan.
