About Mendel University in Brno
Mendel University in Brno (MENDELU) was founded in 1919 as the University of Agriculture in Brno and has carried the name of Gregor Johann Mendel, the father of genetics, since 1994. It is one of the oldest Czech universities focused on natural sciences, agriculture, forestry, economics and modern technologies, with a campus close to the Brno city centre and more than 1,700 international students.
