About East China Normal University
East China Normal University (ECNU) was founded in Shanghai in 1951. It is a public research university under the Ministry of Education and part of Project 985, Project 211 and the Double First-Class initiative. ECNU is one of China's top two universities for education and also teaches humanities, science, engineering, economics, psychology and art. It co-founded NYU Shanghai with New York University. Its two campuses, on Zhongshan North Road and in Minhang, cover more than 200 hectares, and it hosts around 2,900 international students.
