About Concordia University

Concordia University was formed in 1974 by the merger of Loyola College and Sir George Williams University. It is a public, English-language research university in Montreal with two campuses: Sir George Williams downtown and Loyola in the west end. About 34,000 students, including more than 10,000 international students from 150+ countries, study in four faculties: Arts and Science, the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science, the John Molson School of Business and Fine Arts. Concordia is known for co-op, computer science, engineering and its fine arts and film school. As a Quebec university, international students need a CAQ before the study permit.
