Aoyama Gakuin University (AGU) is a private Christian university in Shibuya, Tokyo. The Aoyama Gakuin institution dates back to 1874 and the university was established in 1949. Its motto is Salt of the Earth and Light of the World. AGU has the Aoyama campus in Shibuya and the Sagamihara campus in Kanagawa. Faculties cover literature, law, economics, business, international politics, economics and communication, science and engineering, and social informatics. A School of Statistics and Data Science opens in April 2027.

AGU admits international undergraduates in April through a special entrance exam for international students. For the 2025 cycle applications opened in early September. From 21 January 2026 TOEFL iBT scores use the new 1-6 scale (3.5 for International Politics, Economics and Communication, 3.0 for Social Informatics). Check the AGU site for the next round.
